A Wandering Cantor 

Shalom! My name is Chazzan Rebecca Blumenfeld (a.k.a. Cantor Bex) and I am a freelance Chazzan working in the UK.

I am a Spiritual and Liturgical Leader, and a Jewish educator affiliated with the Masorti movement. However, I consider myself to be denominationally “flexible” and therefore happy to work with all denominations.

I graduated from Hebrew College in Boston in 2015 with cantorial ordination (smicha) and a Masters in Jewish Studies and I moved back to the UK (where I was born) with my family in 2016.

I currently also work for a number of different small Masorti communities around the UK, supporting their development and sustainability. As such, I provide a uniquely flexible service, can travel to a variety of locations and am available for communications and teaching online as well as in person.
